Protests around the world in support of Malalai Joya
On June 21, 2007, one month passed since Malalai Joya was suspended by the Afghan parliament of warlords, after a series of protests across Afghanistan in support of Joya, an international day of action was observed by Joya supporters in Rome, New York, Barcelona, Milan, Alberta, Victoria, Bologna, Viareggio, Vancouver, Melbourne and some other cities. They staged protests in front of the Afghan political missions in their countries and asked Afghan government to reinstate her to the parliament.
