Sargeant Matthis Chiroux apologises to Afghan Malalai Joya for his actions in the US military

Symbols of peace and friendship were exchanged by Sargeant Matthis Chiroux, from the US military and Malalai Joya and Afghan peace activist at the "No To Nato summit" held in Strasbourg, France on 4-6 April 2009. They did this to show how friendship can prevail in a time of war. This is one of the many events the mainstream media chose not to cover as part of the 60th anniversary of the foundation of NATO.
